A little Turquoise update

I can't seem to get enough of Turquoise stones these days. Perhaps it's the anticipation of summer or just because Turquoise is one of my favorite stones. I am always on the lookout of a special type stone and once I find one I need to have it.
I am waiting on some new ones and can't wait to get started making some more one of a kind pieces.

Also, please join my facebook fan page and receive members only specials. If you invite three of your friends to become a fan you'll qualify to win one of my East of Eden Ruby rings. You'll need to write down though in the "discussions" part of the fan page which friends you have recruited. Check the page for further info.

I've been very busy these days, but life is slowing down a bit now and I should have a bit more time to work on my Etsy shop. Looking forward on updating it with some new "jewels" in the next week or two!

There is a new sense of energy surrounding this place. Nature has turned into some nice green scenery! It is so refreshing, I can't even tell you how much more one appreciates life when you have winter for about 6 months ( or longer ) of the year. One gets so rejuvenated once the snow is gone and the temperatures heat up a bit and the grass starts turning green...*sigh*. Life is great and should be lived to the max. I'm really lucky to be able to experience such wonderful things in my life, to express myself through my art, to grow, to love someone unconditionally and to experience and abundance of joy on a daily basis.

On this note I am off to bed! It's past midnight and I need to get up early. I'm planning a little shopping trip to update my rather stagnant wardrobe!

Cheerio!

love and hugs,

Sabine:-)

Color, color and more color..

Good day!

Just listed two more necklaces in my Etsy shop!

I have been hoarding the Rhodochrosite one now for about a couple of months. I guess I feel this odd sense of attachment to some of my jewelry?! As you read the description of the piece you can probably understand why.

The Turquoise one is just the most gorgeous cab I have been having the pleasure of using for quite a while. I wish every Turquoise stone would be so utterly "perfect". Great colors and quite an expensive stone, but I couldn't resist purchasing it once I laid eyes on it.
Here is the URL to that listing: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=25515133

Just had some yummy scampi for dinner ( way too many ), so I'm thinking of taking a walk while the rain stops and also to get some fresh air. Been spending most of my time inside today, working. :-))

Laters!

Two new necklaces

I just finished two new necklaces! Yayyy!

The are both for sale in my Etsy shop! One is a bezel set Turquoise cabochon pendant with two irregular baseplates and an inspirational tag that reads " Live in the Present". The other is a Peruvian Opal pendant that has been tightly wrapped with a sterling silver bezel. One of my more expensive stones for sure. I wanted to keep this pendant simple and uncluttered. It speaks for itself I think.

Off to continue making more goodies! :-)

New de-stash Shop

I have just opened ( well I had the shop for quite a while, but never posted anything until yesterday ) a de-stash shop for all those yummy items I never end up using. My style shifts quite rapidly and I have tons of mostly beads that I'd like to sell for someone else's enjoyment. There is no point of having them sitting in my bead drawers if I don't use them.

If you'd like to take a look, here is the shop

I will be adding tons of more stuff when time permits in the next few days. So stay tuned! :-)

I'm in a great mood today and have been having so much more energy these last few days. I have cut bread completely out of my diet and I am also trying to avoid anything with sugar. I have replaced those delicious items with different kinds of nuts that I snack on periodically during the day which keeps me from that gnawing hungry feeling. Eating also tons of salads, fresh veggies and fish products of all kinds. I have a new found love for Salmon. I miss canned salmon. I haven't been able to find it here in Norway yet.

I'm off to watch the national Norwegian soap Opera called " Hotel Caesar" which is on every evening...yeah I know, didn't want to admit to it, but nice to get my mind off jewelry designs once in a while and enjoy a tad of bad drama once in a while:D

Tada...

Love and Hugs,

Sabine:-)

Pretty pretty stones

I'm excited! I got one of my shipments of stones today for my one of a kind items. The beauty of them blew me away completely! I am really blessed with having such a great and reliable supplier. The stones are always high quality and expensive, but well worth it. I don't want to compromise anything when it comes to my stones. Once I had gotten some cabochons from an ebay seller and when I tumbled the final product almost all of the color disappeared! It's always good to get your supplies from a reliable source.I like knowing that my customers are wearing something unique and special.

If you would like me to make a custom order for you using one of the pictured stones, act fast because I will be sketching out new designs this weekend!

It's a holiday here in Norway tomorrow! I think I might spend the day outside shooting some pictures if the weather stays as nice as it has been in the last couple of weeks. I guess if it's raining I might just continue working in my studio:D

Cheerio!

Little new treasures

Hellooowww,

Both of these pieces below are made from recycled sterling silver. I'm quite happy the way they turned out. But I love organic and abstract pieces of jewelry.

I have ordered a ton of new stones that should arrive sometime next week. Been already sketching out some new designs and can't wait to put them into use.

The summer seems to be finally making an appearance here. We've bee having some nice weather these past two weeks. I mean we are not talking about high temperatures, but warm enough to enjoy firing up the BBQ outside. Once the sun is out in its full bloom most grocery stores here are filled with what it called " Grillmat" ( BBQ food ). Tomorrow is Norway's national day and the streets are filled with people watching the marching band parades. A lot of people get dressed up in their states "Bunad" which is a tradional folk costume. Norway is actually quite a patriotic country and takes great pride in its traditions.

I'm off making some brownies for John to take to work tomorrow. Have you noticed that I either bake or make jewelry?
I do other things on occasion, trust me...hehehe...

A couple of answers to some questions I get most often:

* I don't have children. I love them, but have decided not to have any. If that thought changes I'll let you know:-)

* The names for the jewelry I use on Etsy are song titles, chosen from our iTunes library. This fits great, especially since we are both huge music fans.

* The music I listen to most is westcoast music. It is a genre that includes a lot of very skilled musicians and has a very distinctive sound that one can recognize right away. For instance, one of my favorites right now is singer/songwriter Jarle Bernhoft. You can view the Youtube video of his best song below. The video is some sort of home made version that someone unrelated made, the song however is his. I LOVE it.

Have a happy sunday everybody!

Big hug,

Sabine:-)
