Norwegian Pea Stew

I must have lost my mind....it's almost 10PM and I am making Spice Buns in between soldering batches of pendants that are on order for a boutique I supply to.

Been up since 6 AM and awake since 5 AM. My sweet BF John is out playing a gig with his band in a neighboring town. He is the drummer ( had once received an award for best new drummer in Norway ) and occasionally lead singer. He rocks.

Rumor has it that the girls out there in Hansnes ( the town John is playing at tonight ) are having a Dildo and Make-up party happening in the local pub before the band starts playing. HA! That should make for an interesting evening for the lads.
I can just see the smile on John's face....:)

I will be posting some Spice Bun Pictures in a little while....I can smell them already......mmmhhh.......midnight snack anyone?

Rustic Autumn Ring

I was lucky again to have been featured in two treasuries this past week. One of them made the front page on Etsy.

I am working to clean up my workspace so I can take some pictures of it to post here. With the way things are looking at the moment.....yikes, it's a disaster zone. Snippets of wire and pieces of different kinds of metals along with tons of metal dust...just downright embarrassing ;)

It's past midnight and I'm off for a cup of hot chocolate with some ginger snap cookies ( that I love to dunk ) and a couple of series of Prison Break.

My BF John is quite sick today with the flu and needs some "loving attention" as well. I can hear him coughing his lungs out as I am typing this....ouch....okay off I go to spread some love....have a great day wherever you are:)

New Pieces

Yup, after much sawing, dabbing, hammering, sweating and soldering, ta ta...here are some of my latest pieces from my fall collection. I'm quite happy with the outcome, hope you will be too! Some of them I have posted already in my Etsy shop www.sabineajewelry.etsy.com

I will be posting some of the other ones over the weekend.

I have also started listing some pieces on www.handmadefusion.com/index.php. I don't think they have do much advertising yet, so I am going to watch and see how things go with that site before I list too many more items.

Sunday drive

The pictures below were taken on a lovely drive this past sunday, with the sun out at full force and the autumn colors in bloom. I can't describe to you how magic this place is. You would have to see it yourself to believe me. The autumn here in the northern part of Tromsø doesn't last long before the first signs of winter arrive. 

Anyhoo, just wanted to share the loveliness and sheer beauty of this place with you folkens! My talented BF John takes all the credit for these lovely pictures!

Coming soon

I have been working a lot on my winter collection and haven't had much time posting. It's coming together nicely though.
The season has changed into fall now ( my favorite time of the year ) and I am unstoppable when it comes to being creative. There is something about this season that makes me calm, slows down my pace, clears my head and keeps my more focused. Summers up here above the arctic circle seem so hectic sometimes. People get stressed when we don't get much of a summer. This year we have had maybe two days with temperatures of 21 degrees ( 69 Fahrenheit ). So you can imagine that people get quite bummed out and depressed, especially with the upcoming 24hr. arctic darkness. It works well for me when it comes to my creativity though.
Now I am off to bake some yummy wholesome bread! I will be posting some of my latest pieces within the next week! Stay tuned!
